Palomino VIP Lounge, Decorex

For Decorex, Adeko & Co presented the PALOMINO VIP Lounge, an immersive interior conceived as a contemporary salon. Drawing on themes of performance, spectacle, and storytelling, the space was designed as a place of pause and encounter within the intensity of the exhibition environment.

Studio 1718 x Adeko

Studio 1718 was commissioned to design and manufacture three bespoke architectural furniture elements for the lounge: the welcome host station, the bar, and a series of folding screens. Together, these pieces formed the functional framework of the space, shaping how guests arrived, gathered, and experienced the lounge.

Arrival

The welcome host station was designed as an architectural threshold. Rather than a conventional reception desk, it was conceived as a moment of arrival, setting the tone for the experience beyond. Its proportions and detailing were carefully balanced to feel composed and inviting, while accommodating the operational demands of a busy exhibition setting.

Craft and Intent

Although conceived for a temporary exhibition, each piece was designed and constructed with permanent interior standards in mind. Materials, joinery, and finishes were selected for integrity and longevity, reflecting Studio 1718’s approach to furniture for hospitality and public settings.

The PALOMINO VIP Lounge at Decorex demonstrated how bespoke furniture and joinery can quietly structure experience. In collaboration with Adeko, Studio 1718 contributed to a space where craftsmanship underpinned atmosphere, and where functional elements became part of the narrative of the room.
